Parsing XML with PowerShell

  • XML is a common data format that is used all over the web and by many applications. This session will start by covering the basics of XML and how an XML file is structured. We will dive into XPath and how XPath is used to navigate XML. Next we will create a PowerShell script to build an XML file that contains all the metadata about the files and folders from the specified path. Finally, we will walk through using PowerShell and XPath to parse data from the XML file.
